WHAT IS COURT-ORDERED DEBT?

 When you are convicted of a traffic violation or a criminal offence, the court may require you to make certain payments as part of the sentence.  These payments are called “court-ordered” debt.

WHAT ARE SOME USUAL TYPES OF PAYMENTS THE COURT CAN REQUIRE?

Court-ordered debt can include: restitution, court fines and fees, traffic fines and fees, and child support.
